In previous years, the programme offered a unique synthesis of training, audience participation and competition, a powerful format designed to teach audiences as much as contestants. Held in eight towns and cities across the country every year, ENGEN Pitch & Polish has attracted thousands of fans who return over and over again to experience the dynamic, informative and hugely entertaining workshops and competitions.
But life has changed . . . In 2021, ENGEN Pitch & Polish is going digital! After celebrating our tenth year in 2019, we have decided it’s time to expand the programme by breaking geographical boundaries and giving everyone across the country the chance to learn and compete! No matter where you are in South Africa, you can enter the ENGEN Pitch & Polish competition or watch and learn online. Our brand-new online edutainment format has it all!
The new ENGEN Pitch & Polish format will see 16 contestants pitching against one another over seven weeks until the ultimate winner is crowned in the final. Instead of live events, we’ll be livestreaming 30-minute episodes twice a week. Contestants’ pitches will be polished as they participate in a Raizcorp learning programme and they will also receive individual guidance by Raizcorp mentors. But how will the audience learn? As our contestants go through the polishing component of the programme, we’ll share important highlights and key lessons with the audience throughout the series. Even better, this year, we have some amazing audience prizes up for grabs! There is a catch, though. You have to watch to win! Find out more here.
From 15 June 2021, you can catch every episode of ENGEN Pitch & Polish live on www.pitchandpolish.com. Episodes go out from 19:00 to 19:30 every Tuesday and Thursday. If you miss an episode, you can catch up on the website or on our YouTube channel. Fair warning, if you’re keen on winning audience prizes, make sure you’re streaming live!
